BrowserNotes does not require an account, email address, or password.

We do not create user profiles or store identity information about you.

No server storage of notes

Notes, drawings, and images are stored in your browser using IndexedDB. Preferences such as theme may use localStorage. We do not run a backend database for your content.

No personal tracking

We do not use analytics that collect personal data about your notes or identity. If advertising is enabled later, it will be limited to a non-intrusive placement and will not read your note content.

Your control

You can export your data at any time. Clearing site data in your browser permanently removes BrowserNotes storage on that device. Because notes are local, we cannot recover them from our servers — there are none.
